Sunset At Chancellor Peak, Faeder Lake, Yoho Natl Park, BC
One of my favorite lesser known spot in the Canadian Rockies. I first visited this valley in the late 90s with my parents on a family vacation. The experience of the land inspired me to take my art to the next level. (I was a landscape painter back then).
I recently returned to Yoho and it is just as marvelous today as it was then. The rugged mountains, and broad valleys are masterpieces of glaciation. The water in Faeder lake was so still, the surface so smooth, and the colorful depths so evocative.
